Working Groups

One of the expected results of the project is the establishment of transnational networks (of administrators and experts) in key areas for spatial development. During the last years collaboration at project level has substantially increased, leading to numerous yet fragmented contacts and producing valuable but dispersed findings. The intention of the foreseen working groups is to provide a (unique) forum for capitalising on these contacts and findings in order to deepen the regional partnership and expand it to the entire co-operation area. Thus the project can prepare the ground for transiting from a project-based to a network-based form of collaboration – and thus also add value to other on-going projects.

The thematic Working Groups are the backbone of the project as they are expected to contribute to WP 1 and 3, providing guidance for the expert teams contracted with resources from these WPs and endorsing the result of their work. Another important result of the Working Groups will be to identify and prepare transnational strategic projects for the new programming period, for which substantial resources are foreseen in budget of WP 4.
