Slovenia, the only nation state in the co-operation area, has decided not to be represented by regional entities (also because regional administrations do not exist at present), but by the National Agency for Regional Development, which in turn will act as the interface with regional actors inside Slovenia.
The Hungarian partners cover the entire area of the two NUTS II regions West- and South-Transdanubia. But in order to facilitate project management it was decided that only two of the six counties will be acting as financing partners (managing the funds for all activities to be carried out inside Hungary), and the others will collaborate as non-financing partners (without a budget).
The two Croatian counties are those which at present have the strongest ties with other partners of the co-operation area, thus they were chosen as Croatian representatives, but they will also act as interlocutors to the other Croatian regions located within or in proximity of the co-operation area.
Varazdin and Vojvodina joined the project as additional partners and participate in the projects Management Board as well as in the various thematic Working Groups.
